Guide
How much does a website cost for a septic company?
It depends on who builds it and what is included. As a rough estimate, a do it yourself website builder costs a small monthly fee plus your own time, a one time build from a freelancer or agency often runs from a few hundred to several thousand dollars, and a monthly plan rolls the site, hosting and upkeep into one price. With Auspero, the website is part of every package, starting at $400 a month with your Google profile and missed call text back included.

The three ways septic companies pay for a website
Build it yourself. Website builders let you drag a site together from a template. The monthly fee is low, but the real cost is your time: writing every page, taking and choosing photos, and keeping it current between jobs. The risk is a site that exists but rarely brings in a call.
Pay once for a build. A freelancer or agency designs the site and hands it over. Prices vary widely with the size of the site and who builds it. After launch, hosting, changes and fixes are usually billed separately, or left to you.
Pay monthly. The builder keeps the site hosted, fast and up to date for a monthly fee, and usually handles changes as part of the plan. You pay more over the years than a one time build, but nothing sits untouched for three years while your phone number or services change.
What actually drives the price
- How many pages. A page for each service, such as pumping, repairs, installs and inspections, and a page for each town you serve, all take time to write well.
- Who writes it. Clear, specific writing about your work is most of the value. Template filler costs less and earns less.
- Photos. Real photos of your trucks, crew and jobs are worth more than stock photos, and someone has to take or sort them.
- Hosting and the domain. A .com domain usually costs somewhere around $10 to $20 a year (an estimate; prices vary by registrar), and hosting is billed monthly or yearly.
- Forms and tools. A quote form that texts you, a call button on every screen and tracking of calls add setup work.
What a septic website needs to do
Whatever you pay, a septic website has one job: turn a search into a phone call. When a tank backs up, the customer is on a phone, in a hurry and comparing a short list. That means a call button they can tap on every screen, your services in plain words, the towns you cover, real photos and reviews, and a page that loads fast on a weak rural signal. A beautiful site that hides the phone number loses to a plain one that does not.
Costs people forget
- Renewing the domain every year, and losing it if the renewal email goes to someone who left.
- Paying again for small changes, like a new phone number or a new service.
- Fixing a site that breaks after the person who built it is gone.
- Who owns it. Make sure the domain is in your name, not the builder’s.
How Auspero prices it
The website is included in every package. Foundation is $400 a month and covers a website built to bring in calls, hosted and kept up to date, your Google Business Profile, a text back within two minutes when you miss a call, a text to you for every new lead, and a monthly report of the jobs you booked. Your domain stays in your name, and if you cancel, I hand over your website files at no charge. Before any of that, the free check shows you where your current site stands. FAQ
Website cost questions.
Your domain stays in your name, and so do your Google accounts. If you cancel, I hand over your website files so you can host them anywhere, at no charge.
Not necessarily. The free check looks at your current site, and I tell you plainly whether it is costing you calls. If it is, you see a preview of what I would build before you decide anything.
It is worth keeping, but it does not replace a website. When a tank backs up, people search Google, and a website and Google profile are what show up there.
