What land clearing companies should put on their website

Put the answers a land buyer needs before they call: the kinds of clearing you do, the equipment you run, the counties you cover, photos of real jobs, how you price and quote, and a call button and quote form on every screen. A land clearing website does not need to be big. It needs to make it obvious within a few seconds that you do the job they have and work where their land is.

The services you actually offer

List each kind of work you do, in the words customers use, with a sentence or two on each:

  • Lot clearing for a house pad, driveway or shop.
  • Forestry mulching, and what it leaves behind on the ground.
  • Brush and underbrush clearing, fence lines and trails.
  • Right of way and utility line clearing, if you do it.
  • Stump grinding, debris hauling or burning, only if you offer them.

Leave out anything you do not want to be called for. A clear, short list beats a long one that sends you the wrong jobs.

Your equipment

Land buyers and builders want to know you have the right machine for their property. Name what you run, such as a dedicated mulcher, a skid steer or track loader with a mulching head, an excavator or a dozer, and show it in photos. It answers “can you handle this?” before anyone has to ask.

Where you work

Name the counties and towns you cover, and say how far you will travel. Many land clearing searches include a county name, because the land is outside town limits. If you have a minimum job size or a travel charge for distant jobs, say so up front to save everyone a phone call.

Photos of real jobs

Before and after photos taken from the same spot are the most convincing thing on a land clearing site. Add finished lots, your machines at work and the crew. Real photos from your own jobs are better than stock photos, which customers often recognize.

How you price and quote

You do not have to publish prices, but explain how pricing works. Say whether you quote by the acre, by the day or by the job, and what moves the price: how thick the growth is, the size of the trees, the slope and ground, access for the machines, and what happens to the debris. Then tell people what to send for a fast quote, such as the location, the rough acreage, what they want done and a few photos.

Make it easy to reach you

Put a call button on every screen and a short quote form that asks for exactly what you need: name, phone number, property location, rough acreage and what they want done. Because you are in the seat most of the day, set up a text back for missed calls so a land buyer is not left calling the next crew while you finish a pass.

Reviews and trust

Show your Google reviews and link to your Google Business Profile. If you are licensed or insured, say so plainly. If you are not sure what applies to your work in your state, leave it out rather than guess.

How Auspero builds it

Auspero builds websites for land clearing crews that cover all of the above, keeps them hosted and current, and connects them to your Google profile and missed call text back. See how it works for land clearing and forestry mulching companies.

FAQ

Land clearing website questions.

A starting price or range helps if you can stand behind it. If every job is different, explain what drives the price and how quickly you can quote instead.

If you offer both, it helps. People search for each by name, and a page for each one answers their exact question. Extra service and town pages are part of the Growth package.
